Tax Specialist

- Reporting to the Associate Tax Director at Novo Nordisk Canada, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our tax responsibilities are met both locally and globally.- Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Prepare income tax returns, manage tax provisions and forecasts, and maintain the tax ledger in SAP.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Review VAT returns for timely refunds and prepare reconciliation controls.
- Support digital tax projects.
- Prepare and manage SR&ED claims and filings and collaborate with the NNI Scientific Alliance Group
- Assist on Transfer Pricing requirements such as transfer pricing audits, compile reporting requirements, and prepare transfer pricing calculation.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Accounting designation and SAP knowledge are preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Canadian tax, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong technical knowledge covering a broad range of complex tax issues.
- Current Canadian Sales Tax experience and Corporate Tax Return preparation experience
- Demonstrates keen attention to detail, ability to self-check work, and the ability to work independently.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, demonstrating a self-starting nature.
- Knowledge in Power BI and Alteryx will be considered as differentials.
