As our business grows, Cabco seeks a Senior Technical Support Engineer to work from our Dartmouth office. Ideally, you will have a clear client service orientation and will be comfortable researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve issues. It is considered a must, that you are also able to follow standard procedures for proper handoff of unresolvable issues to the appropriate internal teams to maximize customer satisfaction. We are looking for a self‑motivated person willing to take ownership of customer issues reported and see those problems through to resolution. Technically, you will have experience applying a broad range of current IT tools and solutions in business environments. Key intermediate knowledge base of at least six of the following: Back office and data centre hardware infrastructure (SAN, Server grade hardware, Backup solutions., PDUs) Active Directory Cloud based deployments Azure AWS Scripting with VBScript, Batch Commands, SQL, PowerShell MS Exchange 2013 or later VM‑Ware/Hyper‑V MS Server 2012 or later MS Windows 10 or later Office 365 Management & Deployment Experience with Fortinet / Checkpoint or other enterprise solutions Setting up remote access VPN’s Creation of VLAN’s and traffic policy's Knowing and reviewing current security best practices Qualifications: Post secondary education in a related field: Information Technology, Computer Science, Network or IT Support. Must have 5 or more years experience working in an IT support, technical support, or technical engineering capacity. Strong knowledge in Microsoft 365 Excellent customer service experience/skills are required. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving. Strong organization skills. Interest in learning new technologies and completing required training and certifications as necessary. Valid driver’s license. Asset qualifications include intermediate knowledge of the following: Antivirus/EDR solutions Backup solutions – Local and Online Windows Server management SAN/NAS shared storage Networking Architecture IP Telephony What Does Cabco Bring to the Table?
