MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Overview MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR role at Volunteer Well (Virtual, Ongoing Opportunity). We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to develop and execute strategies that strengthen our brand and expand our reach. This is a volunteer role working with our leadership team to craft content, manage social media, enhance public relations, and engage with our volunteer and nonprofit communities. Responsibilities Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies to promote Volunteer Well’s programs and services. Ensure branding consistency across all communication channels and materials. Analyze and report on key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts. Content Creation & Digital Engagement: craft engaging content for newsletters, blogs, and social media; manage social media platforms with consistent branding, voice, and community engagement; design and update marketing materials in collaboration with the leadership team; create and monitor digital campaigns to increase visibility and attract volunteers and nonprofit partners; design and manage print materials for events, campaigns, and outreach. Coordinate messaging campaigns via WhatsApp and other platforms to engage volunteers, donors, and partners with timely updates and calls-to-action. Public Relations & Outreach: support PR and marketing initiatives, including media outreach and campaign execution; collaborate with the leadership team to build partnerships that enhance Volunteer Well’s presence and credibility. Qualifications Proven experience of at least six months in communications, marketing, or public relations, ideally in the nonprofit or social impact sector. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences. Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing strategies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, volunteer-driven environment. Passion for volunteerism and making a positive impact in the community. Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
