Everyone has a role to play and we take ours seriously.What You’ll be DoingAs an Electrical Engineer, you will provide engineering support for our industry-leading products to our most valued customers. From resolving product related issues and addressing design challenges to troubleshooting technical problems, there's nothing you can't solve. Beyond problem-solving, you 'll be collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure our products continue to deliver exceptional quality and value.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide top-tier engineering support to customers through troubleshooting, or addressing design challengesLead the design and implementation of product life cycle & roadmap activitiesSelect and validate suitable sensors, actuators and electronic components for system integration.Identifying and driving product improvements initiatives including developing new algorithms, identifying system or part obsolescence, and cost reductionDevelop, maintain, and optimize technical and project processes using JIRA, Confluence, Word, etc.Support on-site control system and locomotive commissioning at globally located rail yardsWho are you?:5+ years of experience supporting products as an Electrical Engineer2+ years of field service experienceA related degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Control or ElectronicProficient in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)Strong technical writing and documentation skillsExperienced in all phases of the development life cycleProfound understanding of control algorithms and design practicesKnowledgeable in industrial communication protocols (Profinet, RS-232, etc.)Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to an array of technical and non-technical audiencesPassion for learning and keeping up to date with new technologiesAbility to 20%-25% travel and work in industrial environmentsPlease apply even if you don’t qualify for all responsibilities or skills, we still want to hear from youWhy Choose ZTR?At ZTR, we continuously promote a healthy balance between work, fun and family.
