The primary purpose of this role is to lead CA Church in local mission. This includes teaching, equipping, and leading others in local missions opportunities with a focus on care for the marginalized. The Pastor of Local Missions will ensure that the mission of Jesus is emphasized and regularly practiced by CA Church.The Pastor of Local Missions will nurture an environment where:every person in our church family will grow in taking responsibility for advancing the mission of Jesus, learning to live as missionaries in their local communities, and responding to God’s call on their lives. CA Church generously cares for the poor in our local community You are:

You Will Oversee Local Mission:

  • Work with Lead Team to identify key projects and initiatives
  • Discern and develop outreach events and programs that address community needs
  • Develop & Provide Spiritual Oversight for Local Missions Staff & Volunteers
  • Oversee Temporary Winter Shelter in partnership with Progressive Housing Society
  • Develop Translation and Intercultural groups

Lead Teams:

  • Develop Local Mission Staff and give operational leadership Recruit Volunteers Provide vision and take bold steps towards advancement & growth Develop and oversee Local Mission goals & budget Inspire & motivate CA Church towards generosity in Missions Develop local cultural ministries

Engage in Global Mission: Work with Mission Staff where possible to integrate local and global missions
