OverviewAutodesk is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Development Manager to lead our skilled team of engineers in the design, development, and execution of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. You will foster collaboration with partners and drive platform adoption, partnering with product management, data science, and infrastructure to define and execute the AI/ML platform roadmap. Your role includes driving the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of scalable AI/ML platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. A successful candidate will deliver while motivating the team and instilling a culture of engineering excellence.Position: Senior Software Development Manager, AI/ML PlatformLocation: Toronto, CanadaResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and deployment of AI/ML solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, data science, and cloud infrastructure to define and execute the AI/ML platform roadmapProvide sound technical guidance and drive crucial technology decisionsActively participate in coding, review processes, and problem-solving alongside your teamStay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologiesDrive the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and efficient AI/ML systemsEnsure adherence to best practices in software development, code quality, and security standardsManage project timelines and resource allocation to deliver projects successfullyFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering teamActively participate in the hiring process to attract and onboard top-tier engineering talentMinimum QualificationsBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML (MS preferred)12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management roleStrong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaExperience building and deploying AI models for rapid AI application development using AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, or Azure Machine LearningExperience building and managing large-scale distributed systems and microservicesExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformDeep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical techniques used in machine learningUnderstanding of MLOps principles and practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and deploymentExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to inspire and guide team members toward project goalsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in building AI/ML platforms or products from inception to productionKnowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as codeUnderstanding of MLOps principles and practices for managing and automating ML workflowsStrong leadership skills with a proven track record of building high-performing engineering teamsAbout Autodesk / À Propos D’AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk We help innovators turn ideas into reality, transforming how things are made and what can be made.
