(GDI) is a Montréal-based, public company of integrated omni-channel brands, designing and distributing accessible, trend-forward fashion for women since 1975.Our mission of "Empowering YOU to be YOU, one outfit at a time" is brought to life through the GARAGE and DYNAMITE banners and represents the consumer-centric core of GDI's long-standing success as a leading retailer in North America.Today, GDI operates nearly 300 stores across Canada and the United States, as well as shoppable brand experiences at Garageclothing.com and Dynamiteclothing.com.Job SummaryThe Payroll Analyst must adhere to company policies, business processes, and labour standards to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the company’s payroll for both Canada and the US.Main ResponsibilitiesReview timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies;Oversee payroll transactions, new hires, terminations, promotions, adjustments, etc.;Reconcile payroll on a biweekly basis;Analyze compensation-related data, including wages and bonuses;Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records;Communicate payroll issues to your direct Manager;Answer employees’ questions about salaries, wages, and taxes;Perform other related duties as assigned to maximize the department’s efficiency and productivity.Qualifications2-5 years of payroll-related experience;PCP certification, an asset;Knowledge of Microsoft Excel;Knowledge of payroll software (UKG and StoreForce, an asset);Excellent organizational skills;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;Professional attitude and strong customer service focus;Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment;Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;Experience processing payroll for mid- to large-sized companies, including both salaried and hourly employees;Knowledge of federal, provincial/state legislation, acts, and regulations related to payroll (Canada and the US);Excellent attention to detail;Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.BenefitsA comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;A group retirement savings program with employer matching;Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs;An employee discount at Garage and Dynamite;Exclusive private sample sales;A flexible vacation policy;And moreGDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.Our promise… No day will be like the last—we aim to be better today than we were yesterday.
