Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Director of Finance & Administration will be responsible for:

Financial Leadership:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and oversee the financial health of the institution.
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial objectives align with institutional goals.

Administrative Oversight:

  • Supervise administrative functions, ensuring efficiency and compliance with internal policies.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Streamline administrative processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and administrative teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ensure professional development opportunities for team members.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audits.

Technology Integration:

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate technology solutions to enhance financial and administrative processes.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
  • Minimum of an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and administration.
  • Proven track record of successful financial leadership in educational or similar institutions.
  • Certifications:
  • CPA designation or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of educational finance practices and compliance standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Technology Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with financial software and enterprise resource planning systems.
