Occupational Health Nurse Job Number: J1025-0534 Job Type: Temporary Full Time Union: Non-Union Location: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada Department: Occupational Health & Safety Open Positions: 1 RMH is an active, acute‑care community hospital located in the heart of Kawartha Lakes. We care for 45,000 patients per year through a 24/7/365 emergency department, orthopedics, ophthalmology, a dialysis unit, and renowned mental health and restorative seniors care programs. Position Summary: RMH seeks a temporary full‑time Occupational Health Nurse. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and delivering Occupational Health Services including baseline health assessments, health surveillance in accordance with the OHA/OMA Communicable Disease Protocols, and an annual influenza immunization program. Essential Qualifications: Current registration and member in good standing with the College of Nurses Ontario Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred or minimum five (5) years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse – experience in the Health Care sector is an asset Current CPR certification Demonstrated knowledge of employee safety systems including inflection control and disaster planning Demonstrated experience developing policies related to Occupational Health Demonstrated knowledge of the OHSA, WHMIS/GHS, Human Rights Code of Ontario Demonstrated knowledge of disability/ability/ Return to Work management principles and practice Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, physicians, management, and community agencies Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office and Parklane Demonstrated ongoing commitment to education and development for personal growth Demonstrated communication, organizational, and time management skills Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis Preferred Qualifications: Disability Management Certification Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association (OOHNA) Work Hours: Must be able to work eight (8) hour shifts Monday to Friday.
