Responsibilities Tasks Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures Inspect maintenance work done by aircraft mechanics Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety Repair and overhaul to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical systems Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Perform and document routine maintenance Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge MS Office Large turboprops Small turboprops Type of industry experience Aircraft manufacturing Area of specialization Mechanical system Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization Aircraft maintenance - general Additional information Security and safety Basic security clearance Criminal record check Airport security clearance Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Handling heavy loads Standing for extended periods Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Own tools/equipment Tools Personal suitability Accurate Initiative Judgement Reliability Team player Disability benefits Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Long term benefits Other benefits Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer On-site amenities On-site recreation and activities Team building opportunities Parking available Who can apply for this job?
