Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (Workshop Facilitator)Join us at CBI Health as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (Workshop Facilitator) located in Calgary (Hybrid). Your clients will receive the support they need to effectively organize and prepare for a job search, access the hidden job market, and compile a resume as part of their return‑to‑work planning. The employment specialist also identifies challenges and works with the team to develop strategies to overcome obstacles toward a client’s progress toward employment or re‑employment goals.We are looking for a flexible and personable team player focused on client‑centered care and results‑driven outcomes. Apply todayResponsibilitiesFacilitate group workshops on various employment topics including resume writing, job research, interviewing, networking, etc.Effectively manage a classroom of diverse students and encourage appropriate group participation and discussion.Complete one‑on‑one interviews with clients to determine work history, education, computer skills, and transferable skills.Utilize motivational interviewing skills to engage clients.Maintain current knowledge of methodologies and policies regarding re‑employment services and job search resources, as well as an up‑to‑date understanding of the Alberta economy and labour market trends.Write reports (assessment, follow‑up, progress).Provide one‑on‑one or individualized support to clients who require accommodations.Make appropriate recommendations or referrals for clients.Utilize technology to provide remote services to rural clients as required and maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of teleconferencing systems (e.g., Go‑to‑Meeting).QualificationsCertificate or diploma in technical training or a technology‑related field (asset).Experience with facilitating or instructing a group in a computer lab environment (preferred).Education and/or experience in social services (asset).Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and use of social media for job applications.Ability to lesson‑plan for multiple levels and work with adult learners from varied backgrounds and cultures.Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist (asset).Non‑violent crisis intervention training or equivalent (asset).About CBI HealthFor millions of Canadians, CBI Health is where better begins.
