Technical Inside Sales Representative – Automation & Factory Solutions – Ontario, CA Join GCG’s Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS) team in Brampton, ON. This role involves serving as a key technical resource and trusted consultant to partner with account managers, suppliers, and customers to deliver automation solutions. Overview Are you looking to leverage your technical aptitude, relationship‑building skills, and B2B sales expertise to drive growth and deliver automation solutions that make an impact? What You’ll Do Partner with Account Managers to create an outstanding customer experience by obtaining application details, specifying solutions, building BOMs, and developing quotes in a timely manner. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing trade publications, and participating in product training at GCG locations and manufacturers’ sites. Collaborate with Customer Service, suppliers, and operations team, using the ERP system for quote, order, and special pricing management. Maintain accurate records in ERP and Salesforce. Follow up on inbound leads from suppliers, websites, and campaigns. Mentor early‑career associates and contribute to team growth. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring 5+ years’ experience in wire & cable, cable assemblies, electrical automation products, or robotics at a manufacturer or distributor. Knowledge of sales principles with a focus on solution selling. High degree of professionalism, dependability, self‑direction, and time‑management. High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word. Experience using ERP systems (preferably Epicor P21) and Salesforce. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information and describe products and services. Ability to organize and balance multiple priorities. Bilingual (French) proficiency a plus but not required. Positive attitude with focus on teamwork, professionalism and continuous improvement.
