Must haves:
• 8+ years’ experience leading SAP projects as an SAP Project Manager
• 2+ years of leading end to end implementation projects (as the Project Manager) of Ariba, preferably in the following Ariba business processes which include Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Visibility, Collaborative Sourcing, Forecasting & Scheduling, Inventory Collaboration, Order Execution, Invoice and Cash Management and the Ariba Network, Vendor Management, Contract Management
• Experience integrating SAP Ariba with other ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4 modules and legacy systems
• Must hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation

Position: Sr SAP Project Manager

Duration: 6 months to start with

1.0 Description of Assignment
• The client is moving forward with their SAP modernization roadmap, further implementing SAP business processes in the Procurement & Category, Materials Management, Warehouse Management and Finance business areas respectively implementing SAP Ariba and S/4HANA as the core platform.

• The scope of this initiative is centered around Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Visibility, Collaborative Sourcing, Forecasting & Scheduling, Inventory Collaboration, Order Execution, Invoice and Cash Management and the Ariba Network, Vendor Management, Contract Management with integration to SAP S/4HANA modules including Materials Management, Warehouse Management, Extended Warehouse Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Project Systems.

• The client is looking for a senior SAP Project Manager with the relevant Ariba experience to manage this project with experience integrating with on-premise systems such as ECC 6.0 (S/4HANA Preferred).

• Therefore, strong SAP leadership, facilitation, interpersonal combined with verbal/written skills are needed to interact with business teams following leading practices.

• This resource will be required to work onsite and remotely due to the COVID 19 restrictions, this may change based on the provincial guidelines and Corporate Policy

2.0 Skills and Certifications
• At least 8 years’ experience leading SAP projects as an SAP Project Manager
• Minimum 2 years of leading end to end implementation projects (as the Project Manager) of Ariba, preferably in the following Ariba business processes which include Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Visibility, Collaborative Sourcing, Forecasting & Scheduling, Inventory Collaboration, Order Execution, Invoice and Cash Management and the Ariba Network, Vendor Management, Contract Management
• Experience integrating SAP Ariba with other ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4 modules and legacy systems
• Strong knowledge of SAP procurement processes and integration to Finance and Materials Management preferred
• Demonstrated implementation experience following SAP Activate methodology
• Demonstrated leadership skills presenting project status reports to various business stakeholders including Project Sponsors, Steering Committees and External Vendors
• Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in implementing Ariba following the Ariba Deployment Practices
• Demonstrated implementation experience of SAP process area including; Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Visibility, Collaborative Sourcing, Forecasting & Scheduling, Inventory Collaboration, Order Execution, Invoice and Cash Management and the Ariba Network, Materials Management, Vendor Management, Contract Management, and Warehouse management.
• Demonstrated implementation preferred in S/4 for Materials Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Project Systems, Controlling, Finance
• Must hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
• Post-secondary education in a business, finance, engineering, or related discipline
• Excellent management of large scale implementations with superior problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Experience leading in complex business transformation projects
• Experience dealing with multiple vendors concurrently
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams in a functional matrix environment
• Experience dealing with SAP product management and support
• Must have or rapidly acquire knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

3.0 Assignment Duties
• As the Project Manager with focus on Ariba Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Visibility, Collaborative Sourcing, Forecasting & Scheduling, Inventory Collaboration, Order Execution, Invoice and Cash Management in addition to ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA, you will be responsible for the following:

• Project Management for the implementation of the end to end procurement, materials and finance solution based on Ariba, S/4HANA with integration to Maximo
• Leading project planning for a typical SAP implementation following the SAP Activate Methodology including work packages but not limited to organizational change, communication, solution design, data management, testing, training, cutover, go-live and post go-live support activities as required
• Lead the project team in coordination and administration of all aspects of the implementation including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling project activities
• Plan the delivery of the overall project and its activities in accordance with the project goals and objectives
• Manage project risk logs and provide mitigations with appropriate contingency plans approved by the business and IT teams
• Manage project issue log on a daily basis and provide actions by collaborating with the responsible project team leads/members to provide a workable solution
• Identify project roadblocks/barriers and address them with appropriate urgency and escalation ensuring the calculated critical path can maintain the delivery timeline
• Drive escalation and resolution of issues and defects, working with the vendor as necessary
• Prepare and maintain associated project documentation as necessary based on the implementation phase deliverable schedule
• Manage with project within the provided project budget and report plan vs. actual cost variances with reasons
• Proactively identify changes in scope, resource, budget or schedule by use of a project change request and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to assess impact to project milestones and overall delivery schedule
• Lead the project planning activities aligned to SAP Activate and PM Methodology, while managing the execution of the project according to plan;
• Develop the project schedule including all resource and allocation efforts, linked dependencies and integrated work packages validating with the appropriate resources/ stakeholders to ensure that all tasks are accounted for and accurately represented;
• Manage project resources and provide direction where necessary;
• Develop work plans, manage deadlines and coordinate the project team’s activities as per the project schedule;
• Lead and support all activities around project planning, change management, communications, solution design, cutover, testing, training, go-live and post go-live support as necessary;
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams for quality management of deliverables for each PM Methodology phase;
• Provide leadership to the data lead/team responsible for data migration/conversion;
• Prepare weekly progress status reports;
• Prepare presentations/reports for periodic Sponsor/Steering Committee supporting the Program Manager;
• Support, foster and encourage a strong, collaborative team environment;
• Lead, conduct and document project closeout activities including lessons learned, with opportunities for improvement presented in a final project closeout report.
