We are passionate about continuous improvement and operate with high-integrity, motivated by our desire to do the right thing for our clients.ResponsibilitiesAs the Claims Representative I, Property, you will investigate, negotiate and settle service claims for the organization. You will contribute to the organization’s client service culture through professional interactions with clients and implementing innovative and client centric solutions.Interpreting and applying coverages, participating in major event response and negotiating and settling service claims with a focus on behaviour based outcomes.Communicating with clients, delivering clear messages and resolving concerns and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the efficient, timely, and quality settlement of claims.Investigating and identifying opportunities for salvage and subrogation recoveries through the use of appropriate guidelines.Sharing claims handling knowledge with business partners to support the organization and providing feedback to the leadership team on process efficiencies to enhance client experience.Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.How You Will SucceedYou influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations.You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages.You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.QualificationsYou have one year of experience in insurance or two years of business experience in a related field.You have completed post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline.You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and Provincial Adjuster Licenses.You have in-depth knowledge of client service principles.You have basic knowledge of insurance and insurance claims, policy wordings, the vehicle repair process, provincial legislations and regulations.What You Need To KnowYou will travel occasionally.Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris.This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events.You may provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss.
