Our client is a growing and successful midsized manufacturing company located in Mississauga, and they have an immediate need for a Senior Director of Sales. This role will be responsible for the overall direction, strategy, and tactics of the sales function and the entire customer experience and ensure the business is moving in the right direction. This is an onsite role.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement highly effective business development strategies for both domestic and international to align with overall corporate expansion objectives
  • Develop and manage industry channel approach and partner strategies & programs
  • Develop pricing policies and strategies to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to sales teams and build, manage and coach a high-performing sales team. Outline sales budgets and setting sales goals and targets.
  • Foster a culture of sales excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate the industry Trends, market demand and competitor activities and adapt the sales strategies to lead the market.
  • Manage customer activity and customer needs
  • Analyze trends and key performance metrics, risks and wins and report to the Shareholders at the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings.
  • Create new product features and specialized solutions for primary industries and conduct market research to gather product requirements from customers
  • Develop business plans, strategic alliances, customer service initiatives, and promotional activities to increase brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with marketing team in order to strengthen the company’s market position and achieve desired business goals.
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads
  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures
  • Support execution of brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels and maintains relationships with advertising agencies, public relations firms and market research firms.
  • Manage the creation, development and production of sales proposals, RFP’s, presentations, brochures, and commercial communications

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience working in Sales and Sales Management within a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Food Science, Science, or Nutrition preferred
  • Over 5 years of proven leadership/project management experience
  • Excellent leadership, management and mentoring skills
  • Diverse negotiation and sales techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office is required; experience in CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Ability to travel 25%
