Technical Writer

Join to apply for the Technical Writer role at Capgemini. Job Description This position requires 7-10 years of experience as a technical writer with a focus on software documentation. The successful candidate will have significant experience working with DITA-based content management systems (Tridion preferred) and XML editors (Oxygen preferred), and will collaborate closely with Engineering to translate technical concepts into clear, customer‑facing documentation. Telecommunications/5G network knowledge is highly desirable. The candidate will interface with the Canada‑based team lead on processes, best practices, and content reuse rules. Writing samples are required to demonstrate expertise in producing customer‑facing software documentation. Responsibilities Work with Software Engineers to extract information and create the required documentation of the product. Exercise patience when working with individuals who do not document information orally. Skills and Experience 7-10 years experience as a technical writer with software documentation experience emphasized. Significant experience working with DITA-based content management systems (Tridion preferred) and XML editors (Oxygen preferred). Experience working directly with Engineering to understand concepts and refine content to be appropriate for customer-facing documentation. Telecommunications/5G network experience. This product is intricate and an understanding of some fundamental telecom concepts would be extremely helpful, if not essential. Ability to interface with Canada-based team lead on processes, best practices, and content reuse rules.
