It provides project management, project controls, construction management and supply chain services to our major projects in the mining, energy, industrial and power markets across the country, ensuring consistent project delivery for all clients regardless of project location or market. Job Description We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Procurement Specialist (Buyer/Expeditor) to join our team in Calgary, AB or Montreal, QC. In this role you will manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities—from bid preparation and negotiations to expediting and PO close‑out—while collaborating with project managers, engineers and vendors to keep schedules on track and ensure seamless execution. What you can expect to do here Apply procurement workflow expertise to deliver client‑specific solutions. Own the bidding process: prepare and issue RFQs, develop bid lists, support evaluations and lead negotiations. Drive purchasing execution: issue POs/PReqs, manage change orders and ensure timely close‑out. Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Team Leads and client procurement reps to keep projects on track. Resolve challenges quickly: correct delivery slippages, mitigate delays and proactively communicate schedule impacts. Manage complex packages: mechanical, electrical and instrumentation & controls, including design components. Monitor progress: track fabrication, expedite documents and initiate corrective actions when needed. Report and communicate: deliver accurate reports and maintain organized documentation. Lead and support: mentor junior team members when appropriate. What you’ll bring Degree, diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field. 1–5 years experience in an EPCM environment on Energy, Mining, Industrial and Infrastructure projects. Proficiency in MS Office and SCM software. Fluency in ERP and supply‑chain systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
