The position of the Global Account Services Booking Specialist is an exciting and fast-paced support selling role. Individuals will work with global clients in multiple segments by coordinating group hotel bookings from key global accounts. The Specialist will provide crucial assistance to Wyndham’s sales team and customers, helping enable revenue growth while gaining exposure across all aspects of the end-to-end sales process.
The Booking Specialist will work through multiple mediums (phone, web, client software, and email) to solicit and convert revenue opportunities while building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing key accounts.
The Booking Specialist position is focused on sourcing and building opportunities for Globally Managed Accounts. They will be required to pitch and sell the best options to their customers over the phone and through email. These team members may or may not be responsible for also building the reservations or group blocks.
What you'll doA Booking Specialist's core job function is to convert and process incoming leads that arrive via the Toll-Free Number as well as emails received through Salesforce. The Specialist assists guests in obtaining the best hotels and rates for their needs and will convert on these opportunities using their sales skills.
Primary responsibilities include supporting our global customers and sellers by handling activities across the sales process as well as across multiple opportunities.
- Receiving inbound requests from sellers and clients via email or phone
- Sourcing hotel locations and building opportunities in Salesforce
- Reviewing and entering sales opportunities/RFPs into internal systems
- Using internal revenue management tools to forecast rates and availability
- Submitting proposals and RFP responses to global customers
- Sales skills are required to convert opportunities
- Support facilitating contract execution to help secure business for your assigned key accounts
- Book reservations or group blocks
- Sending email via Salesforce and Outlook to sellers, clients, and hotels
- Outbound and inbound calls to and from hotels and customers
- Engage with properties to develop contracts for group bookings
- Work directly with customers on accepting proposals and facilitating the contract negotiations between the hotel and client
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of travel industry is a plus
- Revenue Management or Hotel Group Sales experience is an asset
- Ability to work through company provided training
- Use of Salesforce is an asset
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma
- Basic computer proficiency
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Outlook and Excel is required
- Experience in a call center atmosphere or travel industry is a plus
