You are a proactive and autonomous QA Automation Engineer who thrives in complex and non‑standard environments. You take full ownership of quality assurance, from defining testing strategies to optimizing automation frameworks that accelerate delivery without compromising reliability. What you will do Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of Qohash products. Conduct end‑to‑end, API, and local application testing, supporting manual testing where necessary. Own the setup and maintenance of test environments. Drive defect identification, prevention, and resolution strategies. Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps to continuously improve CI/CD pipelines through automation and performance testing. Identify gaps, propose solutions, and lead improvements to QA processes across the organization. Proactively communicate risks related to tools, technology, or testing processes as they arise. Must Haves A strong alignment with our core values (preference for those with genuine start‑up, high‑growth, Series A/B/C or high‑velocity company experience) Reside in Quebec or Ontario 5+ years of experience in both manual and automated QA testing 5+ years of experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber Strong experience in end‑to‑end (e2e), API, and local application testing Solid programming knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, Bash) and willingness to expand these skills Proven ability to build and maintain robust test automation frameworks Clear communication skills for collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders A proactive, continuous‑learning mindset Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Nice to Haves Experience in JavaScript or Kotlin programming Experience in a cybersecurity or startup environment Preference will be given to candidates residing in the province of Quebec What’s in it for you Competitive salary range.
