OverviewJoin to apply for the Head of Communications role at BF&M.Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with BF&M on their search for a Head of Communications to join their team.The Head of Communications is responsible for leading the communications function, ensuring that Group’s reputation, culture, and stakeholder relationships are strengthened across every jurisdiction. Working in close partnership with the CEO, CHRO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Group Head of Marketing & Communications, this role delivers consistent, compelling, and trusted communications across all internal and external audiences.Your ResponsibilitiesReporting to: Group Head of Marketing & CommunicationsStrategic & Executive CommunicationsDevelop and execute the group-level communications strategy (internal and external).Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to align messaging, and lead all CEO communications (speeches, statements, thought leadership).Support investor relations communications (messaging, media prep, disclosures).Lead issues and crisis communications management.Act as chief media spokesperson for the organisation.Lead ESG and sustainability communications, including reporting and transparency initiatives.Develop and oversee the public affairs strategy, maintaining strong relationships with government, regulators, and industry associations.Stakeholder & Community EngagementLead stakeholder management strategy and execution across all jurisdictions.Manage community relations and corporate sponsorship policy.Oversee external communications agency relationships.Internal CommunicationsFacilitate all employee communications to drive engagement, cultural integration, and alignment.Oversee internal communications channels (newsletters, intranet, campaigns, CEO and Executive Team updates).Work closely with HR on internal messaging and change communications.Partner with functional leaders to provide communications support across the organisation.Leadership & GovernanceOversee communications activities in all jurisdictions, working closely with local leaders and, where necessary, local members of the Marketing & Communications team to ensure communications align with local needs and priorities.Develop communications protocols, policies, and templates to ensure alignment, compliance, and quality.Manage external agency relationships effectively and efficiently.Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver integrated brand and communications initiatives.Your Requirements10+ years of communications leadership, ideally in financial services, healthcare, or insurance.Proven expertise in executive communications, media relations, issues management, and stakeholder engagement.Experience advising senior leaders and serving as spokesperson in high-profile situations.Strong knowledge of ESG, CSR, and investor communications.Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.Agency experience an asset.Skilled at leading cross-functional and cross-jurisdictional teams.At BF&M, great talent is at the core of our success across all jurisdictions in which we operate.
