Manager of Park Planning and Development Join to apply for the Manager of Park Planning and Development role at District of Saanich This range is provided by District of Saanich. Base pay range CA$115,745.00/yr - CA$136,125.00/yr The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department is seeking an experienced leader to manage our Park Planning and Development team. This position will be responsible for directing all aspects of park acquisitions, planning, design, construction and the development of Saanich’s park system. Responsibilities You will lead a diverse team of supervisors, professional park planners and designers, technicians, and construction tradespeople. Lead staff in public engagement initiatives using IAP2 tools and techniques. Oversee the Division’s $4 million capital budget and lead project implementation planning to ensure projects are delivered effectively and on time. Qualifications University degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field. Minimum of six years of relevant experience, including management and leadership in planning, design, construction, and management of parks, trails, and open spaces. Experience working on projects within a municipal government or department considered an asset. Must be a member, or eligible for membership, in the Planning Institute of British Columbia or the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects. Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle required. Exempt position with an annual salary range of $115,745 - $136,125, excellent benefits package and a generous pension plan.
