Position Summary

This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.

On a practical level, you will

  1. Sign out a wide range of cases in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and ideally also bone marrows, blood smears, and lymph nodes.
  2. Participate in rounds presentations, teaching and collaborative clinical research.
  3. Maintain a high standard of practice including prompt delivery of services to match established key performance indicators and provincial metrics.
  4. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

  1. The successful individual will be a licensed physician, or eligible for licensure, in the province of Ontario; hold or be eligible for Royal College Certification in either Anatomic or General Pathology; and will have (or be eligible for) an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
