Real-time alarms, alerts, and reports enable significant reductions in maintenance costs and increase fleet availability for revenue generation.Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to design, develop, and optimize advanced image processing and deep learning solutions for real-time applications. The role involves working on cutting-edge camera and laser-based systems for accurate measurement and detection, with a focus on innovation, performance optimization, and seamless integration into production environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms using Python, MATLAB, and C++ for real-time performanceDevelop state-of-the-art solutions combining traditional image processing and deep learning for accurate rail component detection and measurementResearch and apply new techniques in deep learning, unsupervised learning, and computer vision to enhance accuracy and efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision solutions into existing systemsConduct performance analysis, profiling, and optimization to meet high-speed processing requirementsDevelop prototypes and proof-of-concept projects to validate new technologiesStay current with emerging trends in AI, computer vision, and image processing, and contribute innovative ideas to the teamDocument methodologies, research findings, and code for knowledge sharing and reproducibilityParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team-wide technical discussionQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience: 2+ years of hands‑on experience in image processing, computer vision, and deep learning applicationsProgramming Skills: Proficiency in Python and MATLAB, with strong C++ development experienceFrameworks & Tools: Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and related ML/DL librariesStrong understanding of deep learning techniques and algorithm design tailored for computer visionFamiliarity with unsupervised learning methods is a plusExperience with point cloud data processing is an advantageKnowledge of MLOps/DevOps workflows and best practices is preferredExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus, with preference for AWSExcellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyStrong communication skills to effectively articulate complex technical conceptsAdditional InformationSeniority level: AssociateEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Railroad Equipment ManufacturingLocation: Montreal, Quebec, CanadaSalary: CA$150,000.00–CA$240,000.00Posting date: 2 weeks ago #J-18808-Ljbffr
