Job Description: Reporting to the Director Long Term Residential Care, the Facility Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the day-to-day operational activities of long-term care/services/programs for Carrot River Health Care Centre. The Facility Administrator ensures quality care/services/programs through the implementation of policies and standards that meet with best practice consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Kelsey Trail Health Region. The Facility Administrator participates in a team concept of management, accepting responsibilities associated with ensuring the coordination of long-term care services in Carrot River Health Care Centre. The Facility Administrator provides the overall management of the facility in the absence of Departmental Directors and facilitates the interdisciplinary functioning of the building by providing positive leadership and support for continuous quality improvement.

Experience:

  • Experience in leadership
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare organization and community health service

Education:

  • Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin)
  • Health Care Administration diploma
  • Nursing diploma

Other Education and Training:

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Health or Social Sciences
