Field Production Engineer

This is a full time, permanent position based out of Greenfire Resources Hangingstone SAGD Facilities south of Fort McMurray on a 7/7 rotation.

Reporting to the Director, Production & Completions Provide production engineering expertise within a multi-disciplinary team to monitor, analyze and optimize SAGD well production Collaborate and maintain a strong interface with Operations and Maintenance regarding the day-to-day well management to meet production targets, troubleshooting and scheduling of well-related field activities Support a multi-disciplinary engineering and operations team to identify areas for optimization, both subsurface and surface Analyze and review steam injection and return rates, down hole, surface temperatures and pressures of all instrumentation during production Execute the well test program for gathering oil cuts, flow rates, and solids production and identify areas for optimization Participate in short and long-term planning, as well as assessing and making recommendations for capital projects Act as technical resource and provide support and direction, where required, to operations and other teams Ensure all corporate and regulatory standards are properly interpreted to minimize risk of non-performance, incidents, damage to the environment or other loss of value Responsible for upkeep of daily and monthly production reporting Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, APEGA registration required Progressive SAGD experience and/or field experience would be an asset, but not required Willingness to learn and adopt new production techniques, as well as tinkering with existing processes to optimize both production and costs Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Must hold a valid Class-5 driver’s license Fosters Collaboration, builds strong and trusting internal relationships by modelling and supporting collaboration across the company Champions Business Excellence, leverages creative thinking, business insight and financial acumen to build operational efficiency and long-term business success Shapes Vision & Strategy, strategies that are aligned with Greenfire and will support the overall vision of the company GROC explores, acquires, develops, and produces oil and gas in the Canadian energy sector and internationally.
