Senior Account Associate, Surety

This role is responsible for supporting the issuance, administration, and servicing of all types of surety bonds, including contract, commercial, and specialty bonds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surety principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Your Impact at PLATFORMThe successful candidate will assist our Surety departments with a variety of tasks. We are looking for professionals who want to join an exciting, fast paced environment with a strong learning culture and a focus on overall development.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and issue surety bonds across all categories (contract, commercial, subdivision, license & permit, etc.) as requested by clientsReview bond request for completeness and accuracyServe as a point of contact for clients regarding bond inquiries, renewals and modificationsEnsure all activated, documents and correspondence are correct and filed into EPIC & Erlon, including full underwriting information, contact information, Client Executive and Service TeamAssist Account Manager in onboarding packagesInvoice bonds in EPIC concurrent with the issuance of the bond consistent with PLATFORM's rules and proceduresUse Surety Company portals and internal systems (EPIC / Erlon) effectivelyEnsure and verify all pertinent documents and correspondence are correct, retained and input into Erlon / EPIC as per PLATFORM's proceduresCoordinate with Account Manager / Client Executive to set up clients on e-bonding portals (ie. Xenex Signature Master) and upload bonds to e-bonding portalsPrepare courier or mail packages for client documentsProactively manage workload and escalate to management when necessaryAssist Account Managers in accounts receivable follow-ups, including preparing Statement of Accounts / Invoices for submittal to the client as a reminder of outstanding premiums dueOwn and be responsible for meeting or exceeding client expectations of PLATFORMProcess Improvement & CollaborationContribute to the development and refinement of internal processes and workflowsCollaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiativesStay current with surety industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developmentsEducation, Experience, Qualifications & SkillsACSB (Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding) Designation or working towardsKnowledge of Applied Systems EPIC Broker Management system is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office bond management systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPossess excellent organizational skills and attention to detailsStrong organizational and communication skillsBasic understanding of surety principlesAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksWork quickly and efficientlyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat We Can OfferPLATFORM offers competitive salaries and benefit plans.
