One of our manufacturing clients in Richmond, BC is looking for an Machinist Apprentice for their facility.

Shifts - Day, Afternoon, Night

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations, considering factors such as material type, dimensions, and surface finish requirements.
  • Perform machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and boring to fabricate parts to required specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and gauging tools to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy of machined parts.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
  • Proficiency in the setup, operation, and programming of manual and CNC machine tools.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters
