Further information is available at www.bgis.com.SummaryThe Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of Technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for multiple facilities. The Crew Lead oversees the execution of activities performed by Technicians to ensure work is conducted in accordance with established processes and practices and complies with internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. In addition to people leadership responsibilities, the Crew Lead also performs and delivers preventative and corrective maintenance as well as routine and on-demand services.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPeople LeadershipLeads a team of individual contributorsAssigns, prioritizes and monitors work progress to ensure completion and adherence to timeliness, quality standards and all other related requirementsReviews work for completeness and accuracy. Ensures quality adherence is maintainedGuides, coaches and trains direct reportsProvides input for performance reviewLeads the delivery of and performs the following subject to legislative licensing requirementsOversees and monitors the activities and performance of Technicians within assigned facility. Ensures activities are performed in accordance with established processes as well as internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, fire protectionOversees the proper application and execution of processes and practices to ensure achievement of and adherence to all requirementsOversees and performs regular facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation and asset integrity of the assigned facility are maintained. Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repairOversees and monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspectionOversees and maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipmentOversees and responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systemsOversees the maintenance of as well as maintains work order records within service management maintenance database. Initiates documents to obtain formal approval of work requiredCoordinates and assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentations are maintainedCoordinates and participates in facility-related projectsOversees and maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required. Submits all expenditures on a timely basisProvides, participates and supports training, safety meetings, operational meetings, tool box talks, etc.Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they ariseAssists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through the manner in which work is performed and services deliveredOther duties as assignedWork RequirementsMust be able to work shifts, be on-call and be available to respond to emergenciesMust be willing to wear personal protective equipmentMust be able and willing to drive to and perform work at multiple sitesEducation, Job-related Years Of Experience & QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION: High school completion plus a specialized technical or business courseJOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: More than three years up to five yearsKnowledge & SkillsMore than 5 years of facility operations and maintenance work experiencePrevious people leadership experience, preferredHigh school diploma plus trades training and certificationAbility to lead a team of individualsHighly-advanced ability to adhere to processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenanceHighly-advanced ability to maintain and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systemsHighly-advanced building mechanical and electrical equipment and system troubleshooting and resolution skillsCurrent knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards and ability to research and apply related codes and standardsPossesses a high level of environmental, health and safety mindset.
