Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members while gaining fulfillment from serving others.Job OverviewThis Lead Care Manager leads a group of Care Managers during shifts, ensuring quality care, documentation, and adherence to Individualized Service Plans (ISP), federal, state, and Sunrise policies.Job DescriptionResponsibilities & QualificationsEssential DutiesProvide supervisory support by taking attendance, managing call-offs, sending open shift messages, and responding to shift requests.Support team members in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care, including bathing, grooming, hygiene, bladder/bowel functions, dressing, hair care, escorting to meals, and tidying resident rooms.Encourage resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.Assist with meal service, coaching team members on hospitality standards.Document care accurately, review documentation, and coach to bridge gaps.Ensure compliance with Timekeeping, Meal/Rest Period policies, monitor break schedule, and coach as required.Display flexibility by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts.Prepare for shift by obtaining resident group assignments and distributing to care managers.Participate in crossover meetings to share pertinent information.Carry resident group assignments on overnight shifts and pick up unfilled calls on day/evening shifts.Cross‑train and obtain necessary certifications to administer medications during high volume or absence.Lead by example with proper clock‑in/out and meals/rest breaks.Participate in group interview process and community tour.Support onboarding of new members via shadowing and skill demonstration.Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.Report incidents and complete paperwork immediately.Communicate resident condition changes to the department care coordinator and assist with ISP updates.Resolve conflicts by working with the team and communicating with care coordinator.Contribute to annual performance reviews with feedback.Project a positive, professional, and friendly image.Maintain compliance with required training and certifications.Perform other duties as assigned.Core CompetenciesDelegate assignments based on skills and roles.Remain calm in difficult situations.Handle multiple priorities.Organize and manage time effectively.Demonstrate good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Experience and QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED (strongly preferred, may be required per regulations).Effective reading, writing, and communication with Care Managers, families, and residents.Maintain certifications: CPR, First Aid, Medication Management, and other applicable certifications.At least 18 years of age.Previous experience working with seniors and desire to serve them.Demonstrated leadership competencies.Make decisions that act in residents’ best interests.About SunriseTake the next step and make a bigger impact.
