Quality Assurance Specialist – Longueuil, QuebecOverview – H55, the technological spin‑off of Solar Impulse, is advancing electric aviation. Our mission is to provide clean, safe, and affordable aviation through innovative propulsion and energy‑storage solutions. We have integrated and flown four commercial electric aircraft and are expanding our manufacturing facility in Longueuil.About H55H55’s core strengths lie in modular, lightweight propulsion and energy storage solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability.About the RoleAs a Quality and E&HS Specialist, you will ensure that our Longueuil operations comply with the highest standards of quality assurance, safety, and regulatory requirements. You report to the Managing Director in Canada and coordinate with H55 headquarters in Switzerland to align best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesQualitySupport implementation and maintenance of the H55 Quality Management System in Canada.Drive quality across the full value chain: process control, production, inspections, and supplier quality.Conduct internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Issue product certificates of conformity and manage product non‑conformities, including customer claims.Lead root‑cause analysis and problem solving (5 Whys, 8D).Maintain quality documentation and report Canadian quality performance to HQ.Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Promote a culture of quality through coaching and awareness initiatives.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations (CNESST, Transport Canada, provincial/federal requirements) and H55 standards.Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety awareness training.Investigate incidents, conduct root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive measures.Monitor and report safety and environmental performance indicators.Act as liaison with the Safety Manager in Switzerland to align with H55 global HSE standards.Maintain HSE documentation and promote a proactive safety culture.Identify continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices.Additional Compliance & SupportSupport awareness and compliance with export‑control regulations (ITAR, EAR, Canadian Export Controls).Coordinate with headquarters to ensure alignment of Canadian QHSE activities with global standards.Your Profile & ExperienceUniversity degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.7+ years of experience in quality within aerospace or regulated industries.5+ years of experience in health & safety management, ideally in aerospace.Strong knowledge of AS9100 and practical auditing experience.Familiarity with Canadian and Quebec regulatory landscape (CNESST, Transport Canada).Experience with root‑cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, risk assessments, and continuous improvement tools.Proven ability to promote a culture of quality and safety, and coach teams on best practices.Adaptable, strong analytical skills, pragmatic, proactive, and rigorous.Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).PreferredExperience in aerospace or certification‑driven industries.Training in Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing and HSE management system.Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, PLM, ERP systems.Understanding of export control requirements.Role may require rare travel to H55 headquarters in Switzerland.BenefitsWe offer a highly dynamic and multicultural environment allowing you to grow and learn by working on ambitious challenges that shape the future of electric aviation.EEO StatementH55 is an equal‑opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of nationality, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
