General Description:

Leads the assigned location to achieve comparative sales through consistent operational excellence, discipline and a committed team that executes flawlessly. Supports the District Manager by communicating corporate direction to the assigned store using the "one vision, one voice, one message" strategy. The Store Manager's role is to fulfill and execute the company's mission statement on a daily basis. Is obsessed with our product, people and customers.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Sales
  1. Meet or exceed assigned sales plans and target metric objectives in the assigned store;
  2. Maintain commitment to the company's sales processes, values and code of ethics;
  3. Stimulate sales and monitor each MOD (Manager-on-Duty) segment, ensuring that poor performance issues are addressed;
  4. Monitor interactions between employees and customers and provide constructive feedback on how employees can improve service and increase sales;
  5. Generate customer traffic by participating in approved local events and/or marketing opportunities.
Products
  1. Ensure consistent execution of the company's marketing and visual presentation;
  2. Proactively identify various market opportunities and make recommendations to the district manager for localized product, visual and marketing strategies;
  3. Ensure that the store's visual standards are met at all times by ensuring an appropriate mix and depth of key SKUs and identifying store needs by using and analyzing supplier sales reports and/or modifying store layout (displays) and making recommendations to the District Manager;
  4. Create enthusiasm and show passion for the product by communicating relevant fitness, fashion and product information to customers.
Human Resources
  1. Demonstrate the ability to develop a culture of recognition, responsibility, discipline and urgency;
  2. Train staff on how to maximize sales potential through continuous development of product knowledge, customer service standards and visual presentation;
  3. Establish and maintain an effective succession plan for the store;
  4. Ensure adequate staffing at all times by organizing staff appropriately based on business trends and making the necessary seasonal adjustments within the salary target/budget;
  5. Set specific performance standards and ensure that employees contribute to the company's objectives;
  6. Mentor and develop key players so that they are ready for career progression;
  7. Supervise employees in applying policies/procedures by documenting disciplinary actions, performance appraisals and reporting and documenting incidents of any violation of company policies/procedures.
Operations
  1. Responsible for the overall expense management and profitability of the assigned location, including but not limited to payroll, expenses and supplies;
  2. Track and ensure that all of the company's customer service standards are consistently applied;
  3. Maintain appropriate inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions and mass counts;
  4. Ensure price integrity and overall product pricing reflect current markdowns and margins in accordance with company guidelines;
  5. Ensure that merchandise is archived, properly stored on shelves and posted within 24 hours of receipt in accordance with operational standards;
  6. Ensure that the store is well maintained, including dusting, mopping, windows and storage according to company housekeeping guidelines;
  7. Maintain a daily record of in-store sales, planning, damage, errors, deposit log, employee discounts, documents related to daily operations;
  8. Effectively implement areas of responsibility to improve management team ownership, development, execution and accountability;
  9. Complete daily planning and ensure discussions regarding performance and overall productivity.
Leadership
  1. Demonstrate key behaviors for each core competency;
  2. Be a role model by presenting a professional image in appearance, word and deed;
  3. Demonstrate excellent salesmanship and teach employees sales techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to execute excellence according to company standards at all times;
  2. Demonstrate ability to execute a financial plan;
  3. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills;
  4. Must produce accurate, complete and consistently compliant work. Leads and develops the team to do the same;
  5. Flexibility in terms of hours and days worked, including when we may need to increase or decrease your hours based on the needs of our business;
  6. Working knowledge of retail systems, human resource best practices and operations;
  7. Mastery of various computer equipment and software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
