You’ll oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations and Wanuskewin’s high standards. From coordinating with kitchen staff to mentoring banquet servers, you’ll lead with confidence and grace, making sure every guest leaves with a smileKey ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise banquet servers to ensure efficient, high-quality serviceCreate and manage staffing schedules based on event needsTrain and mentor team members to uphold service excellenceInterpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and oversee setup, service, and AV troubleshootingMeet with conveners to review event details and ensure satisfactionDeliver menu items and clear banquet tables during eventsAddress guest needs and resolve issues promptlyPrepare and execute room setup and closing check sheetsAttend weekly BEO meetingsSupport the Food & Beverage Manager in building a cohesive, high-performing teamUphold safety standards in all aspects of workPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum 2 years of hospitality service experienceCombination of education, training, and experience may be consideredCPR and First Aid certification (asset)Knowledge of restaurant and catering practicesFamiliarity with Indigenous Plains cultureProficiency in Microsoft SuiteStrong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekendsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyPhysical RequirementsPhysically fit.
