Test Engineering Technologist – Husky Technologies Title: Test Engineering Technologist Type: Full‑time Location: Bolton, ON Husky TechnologiesTM is a global leader in energy, satellite, and aerospace manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Validate injection molding machines by bridging control, electrical, and mechanical systems. Identify gaps, suggest solutions, and lead enhancements to validation procedures, processes, and practices. Develop test plans and build systems for testing. Conduct stress testing of systems and components through normal and extraordinary user test cases (“Break it” testing). Ensure instrumentation operation complies with quality parameters. Trend and analyze data to identify failure modes. Report results and conclusions both formally documented and in presentations. Support product launch and provide service support for significant service projects. Participate in project design reviews, risk assessments, and develop testing and validation strategies based on risks and product claims. Serve as a voice of the customer in the validation process. Refine internal product knowledge based on performance results outside of the Husky testing labs. Education B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Required Experience 5+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems. 5+ years of experience working in project teams with both external and internal customers. 5+ years of experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and data acquisition systems. Excellent understanding of fluid power and electrical schematics. Desired Experience Prior experience in the plastics industry, particularly with injection molding equipment. Experience with statistical and probability methods and tools. Experience in accelerated life tests. Qualifications Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to balance multiple initiatives with unique schedules and needs. Fundamental understanding of the injection molding process and plastic resin families, including auxiliary equipment.
