The Department of Physical Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Earth and Planetary Science at the rank of Assistant Professor. p>Responsibilities

You will have expertise related to either hydrogeology and near-surface geophysics, or environmental geochemistry, with both fields being able to contribute to the field of environmental geoscience. Depending on your area of expertise, you should be prepared to teach upper-year courses introducing students to either hydrogeology and geophysics or geochemistry, biogeochemistry, and soil chemistry. Regardless of specialization, you will also be expected to teach first-year Earth Science courses. Having the ability to teach courses related to environmental management or environmental impact assessments would be considered an asset. D. or provide evidence of imminent completion of a terminal degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences with a focus on Hydrogeology, Environmental Geochemistry, or a related discipline. In addition, you will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and student mentorship. You will be expected to establish a research program and engage in service at MacEwan and/or to the wider scientific/educational community. p>Application Process
