We are looking for a Chrome Extension Developer to develop, modify, and maintain interactive Chrome extensions that integrate seamlessly with frontline applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, Express.js, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB, and be skilled in troubleshooting and providing support for end users. Experience: 4-6 yearsNo of Openings: 3Location: Bhubaneswar, DelhiShift: 4:00–01:00 AM IST Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Engineering and Information Technology Industry IT Services and IT Consulting Chrome Extension Development & Maintenance Develop interactive Chrome extensions from scratch, focusing on UI/UX and performance. Modify and enhance existing extensions to add new features and improve functionality. Ensure secure and seamless communication between the extension and the frontend application. Integration & Frontend Development Integrate extensions with web applications using APIs, WebSockets, and background scripts. Ensure smooth data flow between the extension and backend services. Work with front‑end frameworks such as React, Vue, Next, and Express for UI development. Troubleshooting & User Support Provide end‑user support and troubleshooting for extension‑related issues. Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, compatibility issues, and API failures. Conduct testing across different browsers and environments to ensure seamless performance. Performance Optimization & Security Optimize extension performance, minimize memory usage, and enhance loading speed. Implement security best practices to prevent vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, and data leaks. Ensure compliance with Chrome Web Store policies and guidelines. Collaboration & Continuous Learning Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and backend teams to ensure smooth integration. Stay up to date with Chrome Extension APIs, Manifest v3 updates, and web technologies. Technical Skills Frontend: React, Vue, Next, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript Backend: Node, Express, MongoDB, RESTful APIs Chrome Extension: Background scripts, content scripts, popup pages, messaging APIs, storage API, WebSockets, OAuth & authentication for Google APIs Version Control & Deployment: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket Testing & Debugging: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Chrome DevTools Cloud & Hosting: AWS, Firebase, Netlify, Vercel Preferred Qualifications Experience publishing and maintaining Chrome extensions on the Chrome Web Store. Knowledge of browser storage mechanisms (localStorage, IndexedDB). Understanding of OAuth authentication, API rate limits, and third‑party API integrations. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Education Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
