Mechanic – 310T – East Ottawa Day Shift– Ottawa Shop Hourly Pay – $45-50 / hour What We’re Looking For : Mechanic – 310T – East Ottawa Red Seal Certificate in the Truck & Transport Mechanic trade. A valid driver’s license with an air brake endorsement. Strong mechanical knowledge, especially in waste trucks and equipment. A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. Leadership experience or a willingness to step into a leadership role. Solid computer skills and excellent communication abilities. Flexibility to handle varying hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. About the Role : Mechanic – 310T – East Ottawa Are you a skilled mechanic looking to lead a team and make an impact? Join our dynamic team as the Shop Lead Hand for the afternoon shift In this role, you’ll take charge of the daily operations in our Ottawa Shop, ensuring our waste collection fleet is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll work with a team of mechanics and collaborate with drivers and supervisors to keep our vehicles in top shape. If you’re passionate about mechanics, teamwork, and leadership, we’d love to have you on board What You’ll Do : Mechanic – 310T – East Ottawa Lead and support the maintenance team in prioritizing and organizing daily repairs and maintenance tasks. Diagnose and repair waste collection trucks, focusing on hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance. Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety standards and are ready for the road. Troubleshoot and minimize downtime to keep our fleet running smoothly. Work closely with drivers and supervisors, providing professional and team-oriented communication. Oversee shop cleanliness and safety while maintaining equipment records. Collaborate with outside vendors and address service calls promptly. Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed. Why Join Us?
