Position LTO Assignment: Gr 10-12 Computer Tech & Programming (TEJ2O; ISS3C/3U; TGI3M/4M) – 1.00 FTE Employer Ottawa Catholic School Board Job Type and Level Long Term Occasional Teacher Full‑time – 1.00 FTE Entry level Job Summary This position provides coverage for a teacher on leave in grades 10‑12 for Computer Tech and Programming. The assignment will be completed during the term specified by the OCSB posting. Key Responsibilities Deliver instruction to students in grades 10‑12 for Computer Tech and Programming subjects. Plan and deliver lessons aligned to the curriculum and learning outcomes. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback. Maintain a supportive classroom environment and manage student behavior. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school‑wide initiatives. Qualifications Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. Salary determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement; effective September 1 2025, salaries range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00. Selection Process The board shall identify the three most senior applicants who are available for the assignment and hold the required qualifications. An occasional teacher shall be considered available for the assignment if the teacher has not already been assigned to another LTO position during this term. Each of the three most senior applicants will be contacted to confirm their interest. If any decline, the next most senior qualified applicant will be contacted, ensuring five applicants are considered. If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board will select the successful applicant from those who qualify. If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external teacher not on the OCSB roster, subject to the OT interview process. AI may be utilized throughout the selection and recruitment process.
