Long Term Occasional Teacher – LTO Assignment: MPM2D, MEL3E, MAP4C We are seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher to provide coverage for a teacher on leave at a grade 10 academic math and college mathematics classroom. Responsibilities Teach grade 10 academic math (MPM2D), math everyday life (MEL3E), and college mathematics (MAP4C) in accordance with school board curriculum and standards. Assume classroom management responsibilities during the teacher’s absence. Collaborate with the assigned teacher to maintain continuity of instruction and assessment. Participate in required induction and ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Successful completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. Salary will be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement (effective September 1 2025, range $51,234.00 – $119,943.00). Selection Process The board will identify the three most senior applicants who meet the required qualifications. Applicants must be available for the LTO assignment and not already assigned to another LTO position during the term. Each of the selected applicants will be contacted to confirm interest; if declined, the board will contact the next senior applicant until five candidates are considered. If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board will select from those who qualify. In the absence of qualified applicants, the board may hire an external qualified teacher who is not on the OCSB roster following the OT interview process. External candidates will be required to provide a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months. AI may be utilized throughout the selection and recruitment process.
