Step Into the Opportunity:

As the Program Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity, while being responsible for:

  • Supporting IDRC's monitoring system and processes, and using data to prepare reports and briefing notes.

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of evaluations.

  • Developing and delivering training activities and providing technical advice.

  • Building relationships and facilitating learning or decision-making processes.

  • Education Pathways:
    • A Master's degree in a relevant Social science discipline or an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • Language Proficiency:

    • Proficiency in both French and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.

  • Relevant Professional Experience:

    • Candidates must have at least three (3) years of significant cumulative and relevant experience that includes monitoring, evaluation, and research.

  • Key strengths for Success:

    • A sound understanding of designing or implementing monitoring and/or evaluation processes.

    • An enhanced knowledge of using databases and data analysis for monitoring, learning and reporting as well as undertaking research, synthesizing research results, identifying evaluation opportunities, gaps, and needs.

NB:
  • Cumulative, Relevant Experience: This includes all professional work in areas such as monitoring, evaluation or research, or other specified fields. This experience may have been gained through full-time, part-time, or project-based roles, provided meaningful contributions are demonstrated.

  • Recent Experience: Refers to work completed within the past three (3) years, ensuring that candidates' skills and expertise are current and applicable.
