Position Overview

Our client is an engineering consulting firm looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer/ Project Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, BC on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to gain value from working on variety of multidisciplinary projects.

Further Responsibilities Include: Design piping systems and mechanical equipment for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment selection to ensure system integrity and performance. Produce engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using design software. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems into overall project designs. Manage project resources, including budget, schedule, and procurement activities. Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders. Support procurement and construction activities, resolving technical queries and ensuring compliance with design specifications. Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation phases. Optimize system performance and reliability through maintenance planning and troubleshooting assistance.

Ideal Candidate Experience: 5+ of experience working on heavy industrial projects Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Registered as a P.Eng with EGBC Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills Strong knowledge of oil and gas and tailings projects is an asset.
