About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of new features and products that enhance the Kijiji platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet the needs of our users and align with our business goals. More specifically, you will be working with our APIs, Core Services, Search and Data teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical product strategy and roadmap that aligns with Kijiji’s business objectives and technical vision and strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the marketplace industry.
  2. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product launches. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  3. Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical background to bridge the gap between business and engineering teams. Provide clear and detailed technical requirements and specifications to guide development efforts.
  4. Metrics and Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics tools to track performance. Continuously evaluate and optimize products based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
  5. Customer Focus: Advocate for the needs of Kijiji users by delivering products that provide a seamless and enjoyable experience. Gather and incorporate user feedback into product development to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products in a digital or e-commerce environment.
  3. Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from ideation to launch and beyond.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  7. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  8. Passion for innovation, user experience, and continuous improvement.
