Ecora is seeking a talented and experienced Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding Geo-Hydro team at our Kelowna, Kamloops or Penticton office locations on a permanent full-time basis.Ecora’s Geo-Hydro Group has extensive experience in providing geotechnical and hydrotechnical services in support of infrastructure projects, commercial structures, dam engineering, and residential subdivision construction. We provide consulting services to a variety of clients including Provincial government, BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Forests, BC Hydro, Fortis BC, various municipalities, First Nation communities, architects, BC Housing, developers, and contracting firms throughout British Columbia. Ecora’s Geotechnical Engineering Group is supported by a CCIL certified materials testing laboratory.Proficient in project management, geotechnical characterization, embankment design, and stability modelling.Solid grounding in practical site investigation and construction experience.Client liaison and preparation of technical memos and geotechnical reports.Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with at least 7 years related work experience.Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Previous project management experience.Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently under minimal supervision.Previous experience conducting site investigations.Experience with industry standard geotechnical software such as gINT, CPeT-IT, L-Pile, GROUP, Settle 3D, Slide, SHAKE, etc.Previous materials testing and construction experience.Comprehensive group benefits including extended health and dental coverage.Flexible work arrangements.
