We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding Geo-Hydro team at Ecora Engineering & Environmental Ltd. in Kelowna, Kamloops, or Penticton, British Columbia.

About the Opportunity:

Ecora's Geo-Hydro Group has extensive experience in providing geotechnical and hydrotechnical services in support of infrastructure projects, commercial structures, dam engineering, and residential subdivision construction. We have provided consulting services to a variety of clients including provincial government, BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Forests, BC Hydro, Fortis BC, municipalities, First Nation communities, architects, BC Housing, and developers and contracting firms throughout British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, geotechnical characterization, embankment design, and stability modelling. They will also be involved in site investigations, client liaison, and preparing technical memos and geotechnical reports. A minimum of 7 years related work experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in BC are required.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in BC
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous project management experience
