The Project Coordinator is located on site and reports directly to the Project Manager.Project Coordinators assist with planning, organization, direct, control and evaluate assigned project(s) from start to finish and in accordance with schedule, specifications and budget. Their primary focus is ensuring the Project is executed according to plan by doing tasks related but not exclusive to safety, planning, monitoring progress, scheduling, quality, costs management, estimating, reporting, and managing project change under the direction of senior leadership. The Project Coordinator will have a strong understanding and commitment to teamwork and will be expected to engage with a variety of stakeholders with guidance from the Project Manager.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist the Project Manager on projects to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are metComply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and proceduresAssist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelinesComplete quantity take-offs from construction drawings, track and update as-built quantities and field verify when requiredAssist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsAssist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impactsAssist in developing and implementing quality control programsBuild and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships under guidance of the Project ManagerPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedulesTrade and subcontractor coordinationDocument controlPurchase supplies and materials as required to complete projectAttend site meetings as requiredEngage with various team members, including staff, field teams, other subcontractors and the customer as requiredComplete other tasks needed to support the projectCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSCommunicates EffectivelyProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationValues and Respects OthersEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSDegree or Diploma in electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience in the industry with a proven track record.WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMin 2 years of Project Coordination experience in the ICI construction sector working on construction projects including Data Centres, Automotive, heavy & light industrial, etc.SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust have:Construction scheduling, planning, and executionBlueprint reading, specifically electrical drawing knowledge such as single line drawingsGeneral understanding of how a construction job worksDriven and self-motivatedStrong multi-tasking and time keeping/managementTechnical understanding of electrical equipmentPreferred:BIM/VDC understanding or experienceTake-offs and estimatingContract managementProficient user of:MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)3D/2D CAD SoftwareProcore or equivalentERP – JDE preferredPlease be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.
