Facts about the opportunity

Black & McDonald has been contracted by EllisDon to lend the company's expertise in Electrical ICI and Mechanical construction in the design and building of a $1.6 billion wet-process lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility.

This project is a joint venture between Honda and Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Corporation and will be the first separator facility in Canada. As a result, we have an immediate need for a Project Manager to join our onsite team located in Port Colborne, Ontario.

Your attributes

You are a fast-paced Project Manager who thrives in a multi-trade construction site where each day is different from the next. Your ability to be collaborative and adapt to changing environmental and project conditions will make you someone we want to meet. This role will provide no shortage of learning opportunities and growth.

Key experience and skills

  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience preferably in electrical project management
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, tracking expenses and changes is second nature
  • Strong ability to coordinate agreements with vendors and sub-contractors
  • The ability to act as a liaison between the client, consultant, vendors, subcontractors, and field staff
  • A safety-first mindset where leading by example to ensure a safe work environment for all is natural
