Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and collaborative planner to drive the development and execution of the long-term supply plan across Bimbo Canada’s national bakery operations. This role is critical in aligning supply capabilities with business growth, operational realities, and strategic initiatives. In the Strategic Planning role you will serve as a contributor to Bimbo Canada’s Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring robust planning, cross-functional alignment, and proactive risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities Long-Term Supply Planning: Develop and maintain a rolling 12-18 month supply plan that aligns with business growth, capacity, and investment strategies. Integrate demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and capital project timelines into a cohesive national supply strategy. Identify and model scenarios to support strategic decision-making and contingency planning. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with bakery operations, engineering, maintenance, and commercial teams to gather input on performance, upcoming repairs, and capital projects that may impact supply. Facilitate cross-functional discussions to ensure alignment between supply capabilities and commercial plans. Act as a liaison between national and regional teams to ensure consistent planning standards and visibility. S&OP Leadership: Collaborate on Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring timely and accurate inputs, scenario planning, and alignment with demand and financial modules. Present supply planning insights and recommendations to senior leadership during S&OP meetings. Drive continuous improvement in supply planning processes, tools, and governance. Strategic Projects & Analytics: Support strategic initiatives such as network optimization, automation, and digital enablement. Provide analytical support for investment decisions, capacity expansion, and risk mitigation strategies. Monitor key supply metrics and develop dashboards to track performance against plan. Play a key role in: New product supply execution and planning Weather, Labor, and other situational contingency planning, including the collaboration on SKU qualification Maintenance planning Seasonal supply build Master the understanding of Bimbo Canada’s supply network including production constraints such as allergens, trays, equipment and capabilities. Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in supply planning, operations, or strategic planning within manufacturing or CPG Strong understanding of S&OP processes, supply chain analytics, and capacity planning Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in Excel, experience in Oracle Cloud a plus A strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights A collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence Growth Opportunities Bimbo Canada is committed to your personal and professional growth.
