About the role

Reporting to the General Manager of our Agriculture Division, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our farm's operations. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial support, assisting in financial analysis, and reporting. You will deliver key financial insights and work closely with the Westbow team to ensure the long-term financial health of our agriculture operations.

Ability to present and communicate results in a confident and creative way.Ensuring the farm is operating efficiently including monitoring costs, managing budgets, and improving productivity and profitability.Preparing, analyzing, and managing cash flows for farm operations.Monitoring farm expenses and budgets through the life cycle of projects and producing monthly project cost/profitability reports.Analyzing data and presenting results and recommendations clearly and concisely.Leading value-added ad hoc projects, including process improvements, implementation, and analysis of KPIs and implementation of technology solutions.Monitoring and adjusting systems and processes such as the management of feed costs and movement.Providing organizational support including the prioritization of tasks, idea and thought management as well as pushing new projects and ideas forward.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years experience in an accounting, analysis, or reporting role.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience working on a dairy farm is considered an asset.
