Base pay range CA$70.00/hr - CA$85.00/hr Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Department: Data & AI Marketplace Delivery Contract Duration: 12 months About the Role We are seeking an experienced AI/Generative AI Engineer (Contract) to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions on Azure. This role will focus on building AI agents, integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise workflows, and leveraging Azure services for scalable, secure deployments. Key Responsibilities AI Agent Development Build intelligent agents using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and Azure OpenAI Service. Fine‑tune and optimize LLMs for enterprise use cases. Implement multi‑agent orchestration for complex workflows. Develop and deploy AI solutions on Azure Machine Learning, Azure Fabric, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Integrate with Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Event Hub for data ingestion and processing. Generative AI & LLMs Fine‑tune and optimize LLMs for enterprise use cases. Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Azure AI Search and vector databases. MLOps & Governance Apply MLOps best practices with Azure DevOps, MLflow, and CI/CD pipelines. Ensure compliance with responsible AI principles and enterprise governance standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, AI/ML, or related field. 3+ years experience in AI/ML engineering with Azure cloud expertise. Strong proficiency in Python, Azure SDKs, and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). Hands‑on experience with AI agent frameworks (Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel) and Azure OpenAI. Experience building Gen AI use cases in production. Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and distributed systems. Preferred Skills Experience with GitHub, LLM, FastAPI, NLP Text Analysis, Azure Fabric orchestration, microservices architecture, Azure Open AI and Azure ML. Familiarity with enterprise‑scale AI deployments and data governance. Contributions to open‑source AI projects or published research. Flexible hybrid work model (2 days onsite).
