OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.The System Server Administrator is a key technical resource responsible for management of various Forensics and eDiscovery technologies on Forensics production, test and development environments. This person is a member of a nation-wide team of technical support staff focused on ongoing support and new deployments of KPMG’s IT infrastructure. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, analyze and identify performance bottlenecks, recommend optimization opportunities, and support internal users, external clients and applications used in our environment while working closely with other IT staff.What You Will DoManage and support production, test and development infrastructure consisting of 200+ servers and SANsProactively manage and identify system resource bottlenecks using performance monitors, profilers, custom scripts and third party toolsTroubleshoot connectivity and performance issues related to servers and data enabled applicationsDevelop and update documentation of all server instances, including architecture diagrams, schema definitions and operating procedure manualsImplement and maintain development, quality-assurance and test environments for development and version upgrade proceduresMaintain security framework requirements set forth by company and clients and in line with KPMG security practicesDevelop, implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategy for all and systemsSupport multiple concurrent projects and ensure proper documentation for operational supportWork closely with other internal IT groups, as well as 3rd party vendors and consultants to tune systems for optimal performance and resolve infrastructure issues. Provide on-call support outside of regular business hoursWhat You Bring To The RoleCollege Diploma or University Degree in the field of computer science and/or relevant work experienceMinimum 4 years of progressive experience in an Enterprise environmentWorking experience with Microsoft Azure, including administering, resource provisioning and monitoringExperience with Windows Server Systems, Windows Clusters & other related Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, SQL, SCCM, SCOMStrong working knowledge of virtual and cloud technologies including VMware VSphere, Hyper-V and AzureExperience configuring load balancing and HAWorking knowledge of Citrix applications including XenApp, NetscalerExperience with firewall administration, Palo Alto preferredExperience with Backup, Archiving and Disaster Recovery technologiesExperience with scripting using Windows PowerShell, VBScript, etc.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technology problemsDemonstrate strong organizational and priority setting skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skillsHighly self-motivated and able to effectively execute tasks in a high pressure environmentMCSE and ITIL V3 Foundations certifications desirableExperience with Relativity and Nuix or similar applicationsProficiency in English at a business level is requiredThis position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English speaking provinces while at KPMG.KPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $73,000 to $109,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
