Network Security Analyst

Our Federal Government client requires a Network Security Analyst to assist in network security infrastructure and services from external threats and vulnerabilities;

by performing specific development/enhancement activities in multiple networks with varied levels of classification, access, and connectivity.

Role And Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and modify operational procedures and network configuration documentation as needed.
  2. Develop build guides for new systems.
  3. Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Respond to incidences and tickets.
  5. Build cross domain solutions which includes building Linux servers, installing configuring security appliances IDS/IPS, and content filtering solutions.
  6. Develop, implement various security components and services such as firewalls, VPN, network access control and encryption.
  7. Maintain the Enterprise Security suite of products.
  8. Patch/update security appliances/servers.
  9. Configure fault and performance monitoring for security devices, networking devices and servers.
  10. Provide regular and timely updates, status of tasks to the unit head verbally and in written format.
  11. Participate in any assigned projects and strategic planning activities.
  12. Provide knowledge transfer plan, skill transfer and training to other members.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Recent experience in security related hardware, software and systems including firewalls, load balancers, proxies, IDS/IPS or URL content filtering.
  2. Solid experience using Cross domain solution components like, data diodes, Content Filtering Applications or malware detection applications.
  3. Solid experience Windows server administration and with Enterprise Security Solutions (Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention, Web content filtering or Web Proxies).
  4. Extensive experience with data flow management application and Linux server administration.
  5. University degree or College diploma in a Computer or Software related field.
  6. Valid Security clearance.
